$0.10... Unless you give us good pictures of the mint mark, and there's actually something there. I doubt it, though.
Those letters tell you which mint the coin came from. "P" for Philadelphia and "D" for Denver. Value is .10 cents.
ooo ok great thanks! ill keep looking !!... yeah i know about the pictures just my camera is down sorry but thanks alot !!
Hi, Im glad you found your way to the site. You seem to be growing an interest for coins! Coins are extremely interesting, and the more you learn the thirstier you will get for more knowledge about them. The "P" and "D" you are referring to are called mint marks. Mint marks are put on the coin to distinguish what mint facility made the coin. The "P" mint mark refers to the Philadelphia mint. The "D" refers to the Denver mint. The mint marks can make massive differences in the pricing of coins. The massive differences in price are reflective of the amount of coins minted per year at the particular mint. Unfortunately in your case the Philadelphia mint and the Denver mint mass produced dimes in 2002. With any type of wear whatsoever the dime you are referring to is worth face value ($0.10). I do hope you continue to visit the site, and that you continue to find coins interesting!:thumb:
May I suggest getting a $2 folder and filling it with one of each date and Mint Mark. You'll soon know what to expect and see things that stand out.
Actually it means it's less valuable. It sounds like a normal dime that may of been polished or is in great shape. If you post a picture it should be easier to figure what you have.
and i have a 1960 n 1963 penny in a-1 condiction very good mint pennies wanna know how much both pennies worth on youtube
ok i have a dime around his whole head it has like crown marks over his head.n around his ears its double n on the back it has a round circle around the letters what this worth
The wide AM cent may be worth a few dollars, the dime sounds like it is just damaged but there is no way to say without pictures of both.
