Not the nicest coin, looks better in the pics but was pretty amazed at the detail on the tiny fallen horseman's face. Please post some relevant coins or other tiny barbarian faces!!

How do you read your mintmark? The closest I have is what I believe to be a Siscia Gallus with II in reverse field somewhat obscured by being overstruck on a Constantius II Aquileia two captives type. It is my only Gallus with the II reverse letters.

Almost forgot my only other coin depicting a barbarian monarch. Long hair was a staple of male royalty in the barbarian kingdoms, unlike the Romans before them.

    Sisebut, Visigothic Kingdom
    AV tremissis
Obv: + SISEBVTVS REX, bust facing
Rev: + TOLETO PIVS, bust facing
    Mint: Toledo
    Date: 612-621 AD
    Ref: Miles 183a

i do not have before pics for this particular coin, for this one i used a simple soak in distilled water and a scrub with a toothbrush and a brass brush in the initial stages. Followed by some gentle picking with a craft knife+ dental pic. below is one i cleaned up last week.
