Here is my latest addition for THE CROWN COLLECTION - WORLD GOLD From the Stack's-Bowers 2017 NYINC auction. Belgium - Flanders Mouton d'Or Louis de Male (1346-84) NGC MS-63
Received this little gem today. Not a scarce coin, but I've been meaning to get a nice MS example of this one year type for a wile
Another coin I got from H8_modern. Keep up & I will be getting all of his castoffs. Bank of Ireland 30 Pence Bit ruff but affordable, which I like.
Just won this 1884 M Sovereign (St. George) MS64....highest graded to date with a population of 1. I'm VERY pleased with the purchase Seller's Pics
This just arrived today: Ireland 1942 Shilling, PCGS MS-65+ Mintage: 286,000 Only 286,000 shillings were minted in 1942, but they are relatively easy to find certified in mint state - PCGS and NGC list 114 in all MS grades in their pop reports (a relatively high amount for Irish coins). So, this was a year where I had plenty of specimens to choose from and I was just waiting for the right coin to show up. This is the coin I was waiting for. Shown is the PCGS True View picture, and it looks just as good in hand. There are quite a few certified examples with a higher numerical grade than this coin, but this is the most eye-appealing example I've seen. Also of note is that 1942 is the last year for silver shillings, and nearly the last year for silver in any Irish coin. Some silver 1943 half crowns and florins exist, but after that all large denomination Irish coins were cupronickel.

NYINC, --from my buddy Bob Steinberg. Not the greatest picture, but you get the idea. For some reason I always thought this coin along with the 25 and 50 Franken coins with the same portrait all had the same date. Turns-out they don't, the 100 Franken having been issued 4 years earlier in 1952 and others dated 1956.
