Hello everyone! It's finally Thursday and a new thread called, "Twenty Dollar Thursday!". Please post your Twenty spot(s). BTW: Also, there's THREE days until Mother's Day!
The only $20 I've got. I don't suppose many of these were actually exchanged for coin (long trip required), but the promise is there at least.
Hey Sal, I don't have any. Can you "loan" me one so I can take a picture? I'll get it back to you the second Tuesday of next week!
The only twenty that I have is a CSA, Confederate Note from the Civil War. It’s from September 2nd, 1861. It’s known as A Woman With Honey. I have 2 of them but this is the nicer one. The first photo is the front. The second photo is the back. The back was blank on these notes but it was so heavily inked on the front it appeared through in every detail. Notice it’s all reversed.
Just so happens today is the 100th birthday for whoever this would be the "birthday note" for: So if this is anyone's birthday note, happy 100th birthday! I only noticed this was a "birthday note" after I bought it; the seller didn't mention it in the listing. I just wanted a decent condition old-style $20 bill for my collection. (And no it's not my birth date lol. Nor of anyone I know for that matter.)
