I have one of his with a Morgan. The dude is legitimate, evidently he sends so much stuff out to PCGS he has his own labels made. 33.jpg

Are you trying to get a type set of each kind of coin issue or just shotgunning whatever you like? I decided a while back to just concentrate on Morgans and Peace Dollars. I've about lost interest in Peace dollars to be honest. Too much to learn, not enough life span. :p

Pretty much shotgunning whatever I like and don't have, I'm probably going after a trime and some more morgans next. I'm not really a huge fan of the peace dollars either, they don't appeal to me as much as a Morgan or ASE.

Saw these particular Morgans on a tv coin show with my dad and scored big time on it in an auction (less than 90 bucks, they routinely sell for $100-130).

An 1883 CC Morgan I thought was very well struck and deserved a MS65 grade. It will be arriving this week. I was very impressed with the reverse feathering.

Is it encapsulated by a CGS because as beautiful as the details and luster is on that coin, those dings on the rim of the reverse would prevent it entirely from receiving a straight grade.
I have the same issue with my 1883-CC Morgan 37.jpg

It is encapsulated. As to the Vam and everything else I wont know until I receive and scope it. I have a 7 day return from Executive so I'm not losing sleep over it. Its been graded by ANACs.

The 1883 CC is in even better shape then I'd hoped for and yes those marks on the rims are from the indents of the coin capsule holder. Unfortunately the ANACs grade packaging, which I can't remove, is kind of scruffed up so the coin wint scope its true beauty but I'll try later anyhow.

If ANACS gave you a 65, it's a solid 65. They are tough on MS grades. That's not ANACS packaging, it's GSA which ANACS graded the holder. Some believe the GSA holder has a premium, some believe the COA that came with the coin back in the 70's sale adds value as well. If you hate the scratched holder, ANACS, PCGS, or NGC can reholder it and specify GSA Hoard on the slab. But then you'd have to request a crossover grade ......if not cracking it out raw (which I would not do). Very nice coin, BTW.
