Count your blessings, though. No banks in my area will give me any half dollar boxes. I ask my own bank and almost before I can finish the question I'm told no.

Do you keep any NIFC small dollars you find? I got 10 rolls of dollars recently and there were quite a few of the Sac and Presidents that fell in those years. I found so many I was just wondering if they're even worth keeping if there's a bunch of them in circulation at any given time.

 

Maybe change your appearance when you go in?

If you got the money and the space, may as well. I got 2 of the Alabama innovation dollars as change from a vending machine, and see no reason not to keep both of them!

Maybe at least keep those in decent enough condition (I would save all George H. W. Bush ones especially, as it's the lowest mintage presidential dollar). At very least save enough to fill albums if you're going through dollars anyway.

 

Nickel box #26:
Not a huge amount of finds, but there was one really good one that still made this box worth it: a 1942-S silver war nickel! This is the second to last war nickel I need (still need 1944-S), and 5th to last one I need altogether (besides 1944-S, just now need 1938-D, 1939-S, and 1950-D).

Also worth noting found a 1939 (no, not a Henning, I checked) & a 2009-P.

Back from Florida & stopped by a local Key Bank to be sure the updated debit card I received would work ok. Couldn’t resist asking for some rolled coins. So shoot me. 4 rolls of customer wrapped nickels

My latest bank nickel box produced a few fun finds. Leading the way was a 1938-D. When I first saw the date my hopes the reverse would reveal the S mint mark to add to my folder. Unfortunately it was not to be. However this was my second such find on this low mintage coin. The other noteworthy finds were two war nickels, three 2009-D, and twenty-four 2024-D. The early decade count were two from the 1930s, eight from the 1940s, and seven from the 1950s.

 

Okay! What do you have that's new? Anything? LOL.

 

My latest nickel box revealed a wide range of assorted finds. Leading the way were two 1941-S finds followed by a no date Buffalo and a 1977-S proof. Honorable mention not pictured were a 2009-P, which is taking an acetone bath, and five 2024-P. The early decade count was nine from the 1940s and eight from the 1950s.

 

Switching to pennies my latest box purchase was quite a surprise. Presumably it consists entirely of uncirculated 2025 coinage. Initially I was very excited thinking of a low mintage find. After reviewing the U.S. mint website the mintage to date reveals 572.4 million. So much for reduced coinage advertised earlier this year. At the moment the box will go in the closet hoping for a rare double die announcement or other type of error.

 

For any Kennedy Half Dollar searchers if you haven't heard there is an error referred to as the dropped star. The image of a star is seen on the obverse around Kennedy's mouth.

 

Not sure if it really counts as "rolls" but I bought a little over $100 in mixed change from a friend who was going to cash it in.
So far I found this.

Nothing special its cleaned and in bad shape but the 68D was the last nonproof clad eagle back quarter that I needed for my set.

Asked for for some nickels and dimes to search over the rainy weekend
The 57d & the 62d were in the same Loomis roll. The 62d will upgrade my old folder of circulation finds.
The Canadian 5c might even improve that collection
