What is this "Denticle" design called along the rim?

On wristwatch faces, they refer to it as a "rehaut", but is there a term for this in numismatics? It appears to be a variation of a denticle, wherein the the same form takes place. However, the big difference is that it's recessed below the surface and is enclosed by the rim and an inner border "rim".

I'm really digging that design feature, but I'm not sure what to call it!

    Thanks in advance!

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

    I'm nominating "recessed denticles".
