Gash on the eagle's breast = counterfeit.

 

Bidders have avoided it like the bubonic plague. I felt certain that was a real sign in itself, although there are so many gut hooked fish on eBay, which really surprised me.

 

I don't like the font at all. First look, first impression, stay away. However, your money. Do as you see fit.

 

I have ZERO intentions of bidding on it. For the rest of the coins I have a hole in my collection to fill, they will likely be graded and I expect to pay the toll for that. I only buy Morgans that are both inexpensive and sleepers and probably legit for ones that I already have in my collection. I've had hits and misses to that point. I'll spend under $100 on a long shot for a home run. I just recently did this.

 

Counterfeit. Run away. It looks like a silver round.

 

Thank you sir. I had no intentions of even considering it. I just wanted to enlighten Coin Talk what goes on in the bay of hell. It is the Thunderdome. We have a few YOUNG collectors here, just wanted it to be educational.

 

Age doesn't always determine experience level....
