I haven't found any 2024 nickels in change yet and it's May, 2025! I think I saw mention of low mintage somewhere, but I am too lazy to do a search of this forum. What's the scoop? Is the mintage low? If so, why? Both Philly and Denver? I'm only interested in business strikes that normally would be in circulation. [On a side not, I just got through searching through ~$50 worth of nickel rolls I picked up at the bank. I found 1 2023-P and about 6,000,000 2023-D. I was mainly looking for 2023-P, 2024-P,D and 2025-P,D. So I scored 1 nickel for the effort. I hate to be the guy that just goes to the nearest coin show and pick up what should be a common nickel at $1 per. I want to find it in circulation or rolls from the bank!!!]
If it turns out to be low mintage like the 2009P nickel try contacting Banco Popular in Puerto Rico. They were the only place that had them for most of '09. I had some CD's with Banco and they patched me through to their coin supplier and they sent me as many of those as I wanted. I can't remember the name, but can't be too many in PR. I would send them a prepaid FedEx shipping label and 3 pounds of Sees chocolates.
I eventually found a 2009-P in circulation. I only want 1 each of 2024-P,D so no chocolate for the Ricans.
