It's been years since I've done a GTG thread and thought this newly regraded and photographed nickel would make an excellent comeback. What are your thoughts; what did PCGS write on this label..? :)

I am at a 57' great luster on that one, I will let someone else pick the attribute.

As many noticed, this is in fact a 1938-D/D and was graded MS66+ by PCGS.

Since acquiring this piece, I added the 1938-D/S to my wishlist; I'd love to have all three 1938 major varieties: D, D/D, and D/S.

I didn’t even try for the D over D but I got the grade except for the +. You have one of the three major varieties so the other two shouldn’t be that hard to obtain.

    I got lucky today and found a 1937 D Three Legged Buffalo IMG_20250507_193047588_HDR.jpg IMG_20250507_193101815_HDR.jpg

Thats an rpm-002. I really enjoy that deep luster, almost satin, looks great on a Buff. I used to have a full set of RPM's and Omm's. I might have been short 1. It's a fun set to build.
