My smallest are probably these Netherlands 10c at 15mm. Crappy pic.

These are all smaller than a US dime but I'd have to look them up again.

The 1797 half dime, diameter 16.5 mm. Given the technology of the time, can you imagine getting this much detail on a coin this size?

Yes, they are expensive. The half dime is graded AU-53. It would have been an AU-58 except for the scratch on the bust. The dollar is graded EF-45. They don’t come any better than that for the grade.

Funny, the coin pictured in your half dime price guide is a dime, not a half dime. The major die break over the date is the give away.

These are not rare or in great condition, which is why I can afford them, but they are definitely "mini" and with maxi history. Hard to believe they could use them without losing them.

    I believe this is probably a Phoenician imitation of Athenian tritartemorion, 8 mm, .56 g, IMG_7656.JPG IMG_7651.JPG

    Phokia trihemitartemorion, head of griffin/incus square, c. 500 BC, 7 x 5 mm, .27 g

    Caria Halicarnasus, c. 380 BC, tetartemorion, Ram's head/Lion's head, 6 mm, .2 g.
