No one can give you a viewpoint that holds any weight since none of us know the seller or what their other listings are. Generally a scammer wouldn't have any interest in responding, heck even most sellers just wouldn't have any interest in responding much less giving a number but like was mentioned earlier everyone is just taking wild guesses

The best scammers are the bold ones. They always respond and are usually aggressive and go with the blitz approach.

Sometimes, sometimes not. Its all just a guessing game with the information present

That may be true, but patterns are hard to ignore :)

True, but part of what scammers take advantage of is patterns that people expect. The best ones most people would not even know they're being scammed. But a couple listings and one generic response is not enough to come to an actual conclusion

If we are going to be 100% objective then you are completely right. Also, we would own lots of modern fakes. Objectivity is great most places, but subjectivity is the eye, the intuition, the gut feeling that saves your butt.

I disagree there, you can be objective on intent without purchasing a fake. There are people selling fakes the genuinely believe they are real or just don't know. True a lot are scammers, but not all

Intent doesn't matter when you buy the fake :/

You were asking what you thought his intent was

    Two answers:

/1/ email leaves a trail, either admitting to fraud or claiming innocence.

/2/ two words: Burner Phone and one more: Bodega ... seriously, if you can't find a bodega selling burner phones in NYC...

Early 2000's NYC is not the current NYC, but I get your point. :)
