Wonder if this means the mint will overwork the tired old dies until they exhaust the supply. That could make for some fun picking down the road.
Back in the mid to late 80's there were 2 employees of the planchet supplier to the mint in Greeneville, Tennessee who would go to coin shows in the area and sell blank planchets, clipped planchets, and web strips with holes from where the planchets were punched out. I still have a 4 ft. web strip and a bunch of the other planchets. Error dealer Alan Herbert bought a small truck load of these from me.
