Am I seeing things?

    I was going through a small bag of 1950s Lincolns looking for varieties.
    I saw this 1956D with something that LOOKS LIKE the "ghost image" of a back of a "D" extending out the top of the mint mark.

    Am I seeing things?

    This is not the 1956 D/D rpm #8 where you can see a ghostly D below the mint mark.

    I'm sure it's nothing. I just thought I'd run it past you all...

    Look at the RPM files
    1956-D RPMs
    All I can think of.

    I looked through my books of errors and I too believe it to be an RPM, just my opinion. Thanks, and good luck.

    Oh, hey! Yep. that looks like the one!
    I've used that Variety Vista site before to identify a variety of an 09-S I once had.
