Hello everyone, Yesterday my friend Carlos aka Deep Digger Carlos and I attended the Dirt Digging Adventures Live event held in Rehoboth Massachusetts. It took us a little over 3 hours to drive to the location from NYC. We left at 3:45am. The event was postponed on it's scheduled date which was Saturday due to bad weather. Sunday was better but still raining and a lot of mud! It wasn't easy detecting the huge corn field. These were my finds.. These were the silver coins Carlos found..

Looks like a decent trip. Saturday was awful, cold, rainy, and windy. It was a great day for soup and a fire in the fireplace for those who have fireplaces.
Yes the weather was bad this past weekend but it looks like the two of you had a great time despite it.
Looks like a terrible day but not for a metal detectorist. Their tough skinned and eager to find the "goodies" though ! Did anyone find anything real old? Like an old copper or Silver piece?
Yes. This man was several yards away from me and I saw him find this 2 Reale dated 1803 He was shocked and I was there to help him ID it. He wasn't sure what it was.
At least you got to see him dig it. There are many dishonest detectorists that pretend to find coins at these kinds of events to win prizes. Can you believe it?
Why was that field chosen? Did someone have reason to believe it was full of goodies for some reason? Or were these planted to be found? Seems equally unlikely in either direction.
