    Hello everyone,
Welcome to my 70,000 Likes celebration thread :woot:

    FB_IMG_1745494083727.jpg

Thanks to @SensibleSal66 for that like received last night!

I had something very super special to post today but it will have to wait. It involves gold :wideyed:

Well let me share with you something upsetting but hilarious that happened to me on my way to work this morning :arghh:

I was rushing to catch my bus when I saw this laying on the street..

    IMG_20250424_070100189-1.jpg

I quickly picked it up and stuck it in my vest pocket. It didn't feel right so I waited to get the chance to look at it better.

And then I discovered that I was fooled by the item. It was a plastic zip lock bag which opens on the end and is used to store cannabis to sell :banghead:
The other zip log bag is another example of how they merchandise their products.

I did find a real $100.00 bill several years ago in front of my job. I think the chances of that occuring again are very slim

    Announcement!

Next Friday May 2nd, I am flying down to Charlotte North Carolina and then driving to Rock Hill South Carolina to attend the Nugget Noggin Metal Detecting Live Event that Saturday. This will be my 4th time there. Last year I won nearly $1000.00 in prizes!
Does anybody from CoinTalk live near Rock Hill? Let's meet up if possible.

I'm excited to see Michael and Daisy again, both YouTube detecting celebrities.

    Funny anecdote!

(When I started dating my wife she kept telling me stories of finding money on the street. I thought 'whatever' until she found a $5.00 and then we both started to compete trying to outdo each other. It became a running joke).

I actually thought you found that "$100 note" until I read on.

Enjoy your metal detecting trip & congrats on the "70,000 Likes" milestone! Wow!

I have to ask... was the problem that it was a fake $100 "bill" or that it was empty...

Getting closer to the day! Must be exciting. I remember a big hunt I went to in Oxford, CT. Great old town and plenty of fields!!
    Fun Fact:
    History of Oxford, CT
Originally part of Derby, Oxford was first settled as a collection of farms, establishing itself as a separate "parish" in 1741 and becoming incorporated by the General Assembly in 1798. The desire to separate was a practical one. Residents from the Oxford district traveled about nine miles each Sunday to the Derby Meeting House.
Do your research when you get the location, okay. It doesn't hurt, right?
Oh, yeah. Get me one of those cool T-shirts.:smuggrin:
