that's right we're down to the last and lighest of the 3 boxes. so far we have: box #3 224.5gr was a zonk with a $300 3oz cook island silver piece nifty but no prize at these prices lol.. box #2 139.5gr was a Break even/small added value.. a very Sweet MS 63 1857 large cent Now what does box #1 contain!!! remove plastic wrapper... remove the outer box... break the seal on the inner box.. Peek at the slab color.... We have Color!!!!!! Holocore Color Here we go!!!! Well another "break even" prize but I'll take it MS 62 1873 open 3 G$1 So I lost a chunk on these but as always had a blast opening them. So i have to consider this a losing round, though if I combine with the win from series 9 I'm back to even overall lol. I'll probably be in for the next Series as well lol
Well, you have to spend money to make money, I guess. It's a gamble but at least you get some really neat coins.
I wonder how often people experience buyer's remorse. You didn't want the silver round, so you could have just bought the other two coins and had $850 in your pocket to get something you wanted. That's how I would see it, and I would never do it again. Yet they seem to have a lot of repeat customers.
Nice, a hollow core! I was hoping it was a $3. You lost ground on this one too but it looks cool. I didn't get to participate in VB odyssey release so I bought a few raw and got a nice VB red core Lucius Varus denarius for less than I would have had in taking the gamble. People get the red cores and think they've hit the lottery. You still have to judge the coin. I looked at one red core ancient and the buy back value was $40 above the issue price. So red core basically only means the value is past break even point of issue, even if just barely.
