It's not about coins. It's about something I saw two weeks ago, this monumental sculpture by the Columbian artist César Hénao, erected last year in Vaison la Romaine (Provence, France). It represents Hadrian and Sabina and is made of more than 3800 steel tubes. Hadrian and Sabina : the imperial couple that have new monumental public statues 1900 years after they passed away... (Well, some coins anyway, it's supposed to be a coin forum)
Very cool sculpture. Was just listening to a podcast about him for a second time and it sounded like this was the wife he didn't like and may have even had her "ended" later in life. Said he was known for engaging in adultery on many occasions and had a young boyfriend for a number of years until he drowned. If this historical account is true the sculpture is an interesting choice.
