I'm struggling to ID the VAM on this Morgan. It appears to have a high left mintmark, and has a feature under the top loop of the S, both of which are reminiscent of the reverse on VAM-82. But, there are no die polish lines on the cotton ball stems on the obverse.

Which other VAMs used the reverse of VAM-82? And, what grade would you estimate for this?

That bar under the 7 crossbar might be a good PUP, but I do not know. Are you a member of Vam World? Might be a good place to start. George, don't you work for ANACS? Throw your influence around and ask your collegues. ;)

No, I'll check out the site.

I work as a convention rep in Texas - so, I need to hone my own skills. Don't really get much of a chance to pick the expert grader's brains, since they're 6 states away.

Any thoughts on grade? I'm leaning towards a low MS (probably 61 or 62).

The carbon spots hurt the eye appeal, but don't factor into grade IMO.

Rim dings are a factor as is a bit of wear. AU+ in my opinion, nice Morgan.
