    Hello all,

I'm getting back into coin collecting and I'm wondering the best place to purchase coins. Is it eBay or pawn shops or somewhere else I'm not thinking of?

    Thanks in advance.

    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

Can you give us more information about your collecting interests? Do you collect certified (graded) specimens, raw coins or both?

  5. eBay is still an okay play to buy coins, but also check out local coin shows as well. Auctions such as Heritage, Stacks, Great Collections etc are also good places to buy as well. TC

    Thanks Chris!

I collected US currency under 10 cents mostly. Both raw and certified.

    Thanks for the help.

I've had good luck at the "We Buy Gold" shops around where I live (Dallas).

Local shops all depend on what shops are in your area, for some people it's a great option for others it's a terrible option.

eBay and online in general will give you access to a wide selection of everything under the sun in every price range that no show or individual store can match. Great Collections is a good buying place too, a lot of things seem to sell low there for whatever reason
