1990 P quarter mint mark location

    I know they used to punch minnt marks by hand so the position could vary somewhat, and from what I read that changed in 1990. Does the position of the mint mark on a 1990 P quarter normallty vary? I have 2 quarters and on one the mint mark is lower and closer to the hair ribbon than on the other - is this normal or have I finally found something exciting?

    It actually changed in the early 1990's.. so your 1990 still might have been hand punched

    Here are a couple of horrible blurry pictures, but you can see the position of the mint marks (I hope) The first picture the mint mark is close to the hair tie and the second image is further away - if you can make it out - is there any value to the close one?
