In my opinion this is one of the best eagle designs minted in the 1800's. What's your favorite? 1848 Gulden.jpg

The Frankfurt eagle is always nice. The mint also made a great number of well struck coins! Lubeck also has a nice eagle design, but my only coin from there is from the 17th century. I should probably remedy that!

I need to start looking at the 17th century Bishopric coinage from that time period.

I don't know if this is the best, but I just got it and I like it. It's from Rome during the revolutionary period in Italy, 1849. 1849 rome 3 baiocchi.jpg

I've always been partial to the one on the Catherine the Great 5 Kopeks

I've always been interested in getting one. I do like big copper coins.
