Hey everyone! It's "Another Maritime Monday!". Please post a Coin, Token, Medal or other (Kayaks welcome @alhenry92) with a "maritime theme" or any body of water that is. (My rules!) It's going to be a wet one here in New England! All hands-on deck ....
I just picked this one up because I got it so cheap. I already have an uncirculated one, but grabbed this one, too. Sorry for the poor pictures, the coin doesn't have any discoloration or shading, that was the poor lighting. I would have taken better, but it's 3:00 and I'm going to bed, lol. Blessings
Ok, I said I was going to bed, and I'm actually in bed, but I keep looking at CT so I've not gone to sleep. So, it's partially your fault that I'm missing my "beauty rest", not that I need it, lol. But, I like that Dan Carr token. Haven't seen one like it before. That doesn't really mean anything except that I've not seen one. Thanks for posting. OK, it's really, really goodnight this time. Please don't make a liar out of me. OK, I'm not looking anymore. Got my eyes closed, CPAP on, light out, phone... well I'm laying it down...
Two of my favorite maritime medals: Hudson-Fulton Commander Duncan Ingraham - Rescue of Martin Koszta medal
With this subject there should be a pirate somewhere. I will post a Pirate Bug as a placeholder until someone posts a pirate coin.
Ok, this for sure isn't a coin, maybe not even an accepted token? But it's definitely Pirate! This is from the 1979 New Orleans Mardi Gras that was canceled. This is very heavy, and well made, to be given to certain guests, not the light weight ones thrown to the crowds. I wasn't a "certain guest", but since it was canceled, I was gifted this by one of the members.
Someone beat me to it. (Damn you having to work for a living!) I thought I was shut out until I remembered my Canadian Silver Dollar phase.
