2015 Dime Error?

    Is the tear shaped drop by the mouth a die break?

    Hard to tell by the photo but I would guess that it is.

    A small one often called, as stated above, a die chip.

    paddyman, once again, is correct. You will find a lot of these minor die chips on many Philadelphia dimes from 2010 to date, sometimes multiples of the same in the same area. They also often appear on the reverse on the left leaf cluster and sometimes with associated die cracks on the left stem. I have yet to find any on the Denver coins but their quality control always seems to be much better.

    Yours could be a small chip also.. not a big deal :yawn:
    Your Dime is in very bad shape :yack: due to circulation wear and tear.

    Thanks it is my first official die chip. I've been getting discourage because I had yet to find anything on Wexler site I've given up on State quarters and National Parks unless MM is P. Ive deposited $90 in quarters and $9 in pennies. Infact in April I put a bunch of possible error coins aside and with the education Im getting from you all you guys I bet I'll depositing more $$. I thank you all and Yippie I found a genuine Die Chip. Should I send it to Wexler's site????
