I was hawking this coin that ended at the ball drop on NYE, but didn't pull the trigger, the seller relisted it today for $50 less, so of course I bought it.... I'm hoping for a monster. Old no line fatty... looks like some rainbow colors.....

should be here hopefully by Wednesday or Thursday!

bought this from the LCS today 1893 thin Ob.JPG
The 10 centavo was in the $0.10 bin, the thin 93 was 25cents, and the 92 was 50cents. I just needed a new unisafe book for my CRH finds for the new year. I love these books due to the fact you can see both sides, and they withstand any abuse I give them.

just purchased a ATB Great Smokey Mountain quarter for my son's birthday later this month.

Blew my budget last month for last month *and* this month. So I blew my spare coin budget for next month.

Okay, one of my coins arrived.
I suspect most of you are not familiar with this coin and its cousins.
It's listed in Krause under China-Japanese Puppet States.
In particular (without getting into the nitty-gritty) Meng Chiang-Japanese Occupation 1938.
It is for another of my "fun" sets, Japanese Occupation in China, from about 1933 through 1945.

And most of the Japanese Occupation of China coins cost less than $20 each if you stick to XF max.
The MS coins can (and do) get pricey.

    Is it silver?

    Nope.
    It's CuNi.
All of the coins in during the Japanese Occupation were either CuNi, Bronze, Al or Fiber.
    At least none were zinc.
