A few Gallienus

The number of Gallienus coins is huge, but I am happy to share these ones that I think are quite nice:

The measurements are from their previous owner; haven't had the time to measure them myself.

Alexandreia Troas, 253 – 260 AD pseudo-autonomous coinage struck during the reign of Valerianus I and Gallienus

The legends on this coinage uses Latin rather than Greek because of its status as a colony.

Rev.: COL(onia) AVG(gvsta)-TRO(a), She-wolf standing r., suckling the twins Romulus and Remus. Border of dots.





Antoninianus, good silver
Mediolanum, 258 – 259 AD, struck under the authority of Valerian I and Gallienus

Rev.: VICTORIA AVGG (Victoria of the two Augusti) Victoria, winged, draped, standing facing, head to l., wings outstretched, holding unwound diadem in both hands, small shield at her feet on either side.

Rome, 264 – 267 AD, 10th officina, struck under Gallienus sole reign

That winged Victory coin is very nice... haven't seen that type before.

These Gallienus are the last ones from a multiple lot of nice ones.

But now I have to attribute a lot of not good ones, a few of them are in such a really bad shape that I'm thinking if it would be better to maybe bring them to a metal recycling facility
