I know many of us at CT are quick to say "MD," however, that's exactly what it looks like to me, especially on the date, and the rest of the coin is too fuzzy to give an opinion.

Not seeing it. If you take a look at the CONECA page on the 70-S DDO-001, look at the picture of the W in WE. You will notice two distinct peaks on the center peak of the W. This is what a doubled die will look like. Machine doubling will show a smashed peak next to the main one. Of course, I can't see this on your coin, either, but perhaps that's the fuzzy pictures.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The 70S DDO-001 is a pretty significant DDO, and should be clearly visible even in blurry photos like yours.

It is not visible. Ergo, it is not the DDO-001.

The letters on your coin appear somewhat distorted, but they appear to be Die Deterioration Doubling - the result of an old, worn die. This is not worth a premium.

Sorry to keep shooting you down, but keep looking - you'll find something eventually.

By golly, what are you seeing? There's nothing there, @Rare-Tim. Zilch. You laid an egg on this one. Try and appreciate this. These cents are minted at a rate of nearly 1000 a minute. They're not coming out perfect. Read about strike-doubling, as that's how most of these come out. It'll pay off in saving you a lot of bother.
