Some collectors didn't like this 1874 With Arrows half dollar when I bought it because it has been dipped. It didn't bother me at all. On the surface, it would appear that the 1837 half dollar with "50 CENTS" on the reverse and the 1838 with "HALF DOL" are not that much different. In fact they are. The reverse on the 1838 has stronger lettering and rims and would hold up much better in circulation. This 1837 is a premium piece that is struck much better than average. NGC graded it MS-64. The 1838 is a PCGS MS-62.
Still haven't cracked the set out yet. Not entirely sold on doing so, so I'll likely just leave them be for a while.
