Hi. New Here. Just seeking thoughts regarding my 1979 Susan B Anthony Dollar coin. Appears to have some doubling and an extra claw on the back. Thoughts on these and value?? Thank you
Some information for you. A lot of minor issues such as die chips, struck through grease, misaligned die strikes and die deterioration doubling have very little or no premium at all. If you find a Doubled Die it falls under the Variety Category which is a bit different from the error category. And the proper numismatic terminology is Doubled die.. Not double die. Here is a good website to explain doubled die http://doubleddie.com/58222.html
I have a 1979 Susan B Anthony dollar coin that has the reverse side (eagle) upside down compared to the front face. Has anyone heard of one and what it may be worth? It has a Denver mint mark.
That depends on which way you are flipping the coin. All US coins are "coin orientation." If you're Canadian, you're used to seeing "medal orientation." If you're flipping it from side to side and the reverse is upside down, that's normal for all US coins.
