Falling in love with the colors of a coin is possibly not the best reason for purchase. But, that's what I did when I bought this coin off eBay. While waiting for it to arrive from Germany it struck me that the colorful toning might be mostly the result of PCGS's True Coin photography and that it would be less colorful in hand. Not the case...you can stand 10 feet away from this 2 Franc piece and see the colors which are magnificent! I won't try to duplicate PCGS photography but I did grab just a quick photo in Auto mode without any special light setup from 5' away with a little zoom-it winks at you from across the room. Couldn't be happier.
