Well 71 is a VERY common year. The Red Book lists one in grade 63 at $3.00 but I would say that is high side of retail and not usually likely to get that much for one. Mostly because they are such a high mintage year and lots of uncirculated 71's out there. Still a full roll of uncirculated should have some value.
And it is always a cool find to find old rolls of any denomination in full uncirculated rolls.
thanks for joining in the conversation and welcome to CT.

First box of BWR Cents for 2017. Typical box. 15 wheatbacks and 25 Canadians. No rare coins and no luster or flawless metal.

    1918 (circle cut by Loomis), 1938, (2) 1939, 1941, (2) 1942, (2) 1944, (2) 1945, (2) 1948, 1953-D, 1958 (circle cut by Loomis).

Best metal was a 1945, but it was only a VF coin.

    Better luck next time! :)

NOOOOOO to the circle cut by loomis. Doesn't that make you angry that they do that to the coins? I hate seeing that on Enders. Has it always been like that?

I've a few buffalo nickels and Liberty dimes (aka mercs) with the dreaded circle cut by a coin rolling machine. The circle on them is centered on the coin and is only a few millimeters in diameter because of the old style coin rolling machine design.

Both types of circles are upsetting, but there isn't anything we can do about it.

How many dump banks do you use, and do they all have coin counters?

One. (Multiple branches)My Credit Union has a coin star and all my major banking(checking, savings, auto, home) is with my credit union which allows me to dump all my coins at zero fee.
I use two branches primarily depending on my travels that day. I have only dump at other banks I have accounts with if I am out of town on business and need to re deposit but before flying home.

Just dumped four boxes and machine spit out a missed '64 Kennedy.

Second box of halves for the week:

    1 90%er (1945 only the 4th Walker I have ever found)
    1 40%er

I only post pictures of an ounce of silver or more, so I can't wait to be putting up pictures again this year.

Good thing your CU has a sensitive machine. Have had the same thing happen when I have searched dimes.

I just got my 3rd box for the week. First two got 2 90's and 1 40. Will only get two boxes tomorrow for a total of 5 for the week. I don't know how you can manage 16 boxes, that's insane! Glad you scored though.

I've stopped doing the crazy bank searches, just too much. I pick up on Tuesday mornings from two branches near work before lunch, Search through them that afternoon after work and dump on Wednesday. Pick up the other eight from two other branches on my way home Wednesday afternoon and search at home that night, dump in Thursday. It actually not to bad other than carting them back to the credit union. Today I dropped one of my large bank bags in the parking lot, looked like a crazy person scrapping halves off the pavement!

    Good luck searching.
