Just received some currency sleeves in the mail....

    They were 2 Mil and way too flimsy. What's the hobby standard for a good strong sleeve? Thanks

    I agree with @Dave M ..... 4 mil is what currency dealers use.

    How thick do they come? I've noticed currency sleeves aren't very rigid. I'm a little afraid of damaging the note if there's a mishap (although they offer good protection in normal handling).

    Not only is thickness of the material important but what it,s made out of
    some sleeves can become brittle and yellow over time and even damage
    your notes if not careful, a good material to look for is Mylar or a good equivalent
