A little pricey, perhaps. But I wouldn't call the current price "huge". I think some people are valuing it a little more than usual due to the unusually strong strike on this one.
Good point, why am I on a cointalk site where we discuss and share photos when I can just go on eBay and search for random 2.5 gold dollars of an unknown date and MM until I find it? Seriously though, that response helps no one.
You obviously did not read the thread. The date and mintmark are on page 1. Go drive your head into that wall again.
Wrong. I've read the thread and the photos aren't posted, just the numbers/letters. How many times have we chided someone for posting something that requires us to research for them? Requesting the OP post complete photos that he already has seems like a simple/reasonable request. You also could have posted the photos since you clearly have found them. Truthfully, I don't even understand why you bothered to respond if you're not going to be helpful.
OMG! 2 members WROTE the date and correctly guessed it! READ!!!!!!!! USE THAT AND DO YOUR OWN SEARCH ON EBAY!
Someone could also post a link to the ebay listing, since some of you seem to know what it is. This thread is de-railing quickly.
Out of respect for the OP wishes, I'm not posting the pics or link. I basically spelled it out for you though.
No, no. The preferred method is to play coy and insult someone for asking a reasonable question. I have no intention of looking up the coin because the OP already has the photos. I'm going to go ahead and [edit] unwatch this thread since it is clearly dying and derailing over a simple request to provide something already available.
Please read my response where I said the numbers and letters were posted. I KNOW the date and MM, I don't understand why the OP decided not to post them when asking for whether people think a coin is real. My question was for him but thanks for your continued unhelpful responses. Cheers.
Because he probably didn't want anyone sweeping in to buy it from underneath him? That's my only guess.
I'm still leaning towards it being genuine (and possibly cleaned), but I would like to see the date and mint mark. Does anyone care to share a link?
