While this coin lacks a date (off the flan), based on other dated examples, it was minted in 1686, the only year for assayer M at Madrid.

    Here's a bit of history.
September 2, 1686: The Holy League Alliance of the Holy Roman Empire, Russia and Austria liberates the Hungarian city of Buda (now part of Budapest) from the Ottoman Empire in the Battle of Buda.

OK, well I can keep it going.
GB as usual, fourpence and farthing. The latter is much scarcer and is another Tin coin with the date on the edge:

For some reason 1684 is a good year for me.

and a Mariengroschen - I've always been attracted to the simplicity of this coin when compared to other coinage of the era.

Here are two coins for 1685 and 1684:

Viceroy of Peru, Potosi, 8 reales, Charles II, 1685 VR. From the HMS Association (sank in 1707 off Cornwall).
    KM 26
    26.8 grams

The 5's on this coin are the Spanish style 5, sickle shaped and often mistaken for a 9. Some lion daalders have the same style of 5.
    D-Camera Potosi 8 reales Charles II 1685 VR KM 26 Association (1707) 26.8g 3-16-25.jpg

Italian States, Tuscany, Livorno, Cosmos III, Pezza della Rosa tallero, 1684 WW.
    KM  15.2
    25.76 grams
D-Camera Tuscany Livorno Pezza della Rosa tollero 1684 Cosmos III WW 25.76g KM  15.2 6-7-22.jpg

I thought I'd throw in some period music, from 1692, a top ten hit!
The Fairy Queen is a semi-opera based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The Ottoman Sultan Mehmet IV was an idiot. The Turkish Commander warned him, not to go ahead with assault on Vienna. Mustafa Pasha advised the Sultan to let the Christians kill one another in their endless Wars.
