Hello everyone! Don't forget those clocks and Enjoy your day. All coins with a Seated Woman on a coin (Lady Liberty for example). She's a hard worker. Let's give her a break and let her sit this day.
On April 11, 2020, I metal detected my first ever Seated Dime Here is the old thread Silver DIME Seated - 1861 - Metal Detecting Joy! | Coin Talk
Britannia has her hands full with a cross, scales, cornucopia, staff and cap of liberty on this 1689 William and Mary medal.
Prf 64. I have not yet moved this over to my typeset. This is another coin from my collection where I am thankful that this particular dealer accepted lay-a-ways. It took me four months to pay for it but I am thrilled to be its custodian
This VF 25 Seated Quarter is the one i would like to share. In another post someone talked about long waits for a coin. I first decided I wanted one of these in the early 2000's but quickly found out that even in VF 30 the price was way to high for me. I was the under bidder at Heritage on a VF 20 coin in 2009. Over the years several XF 40 coins came on the market. In 2023 I won this coin. A mere 14 years later. James
I would also like to share one other long wait coin. I got Breen's Encyclopedia of coins for Christmas in 1996/1997. At that time i put together a list of around 40 coins I thought would be cool to own. I tried to look for coins that were both interesting and within my financial reach. Since the first time i saw it in Breen's book i have wanted one of the 1847 dimes where the date overlaps right over the figure of Liberty. Won this coin in August of this year. James
