Not really a rant, but look at this listing on GreatCollections: GreatCollections Deluxe Display Case - Black with Blue Felt Inside (Holds Six Certified Coins) | Cert #n/a | GreatCollections Coin Auctions Item #1607052 Look really closely at the first picture. Do you see an 1817/4 half dollar, Overton 102, PCGS F12 with CAC? I'm sorry, but if I'm gonna display a coin that Greysheets at OVER $200,000 ($204,000 to be exact), and CPGs at $245,000, I'm not gonna put it in something like that. Especially when that doesn't even have a lock on it. LOL, I don't even think Elon Musk would leave it out like that. Same goes with the 1893-CC $20 gold piece, graded PCGS MS-63 CAC, with values of $19,000/$23,000. Figured I could get a free one of these as a birthday present. Maybe it could help me fight off the allergies.
Did you see the second photo? It was an empty case! I thought that was funny AF after reading your rant.
I suppose they wanted to get your attention. If they filled up with details graded Morgan Dollars, you would turn the page.
I didn't have any illusions about actually getting those coins too. That seemed pretty obvious to me. What I question is why somebody wants a fancy case that only holds 6 coins.
