Glad to hear it. I'm trying to expand the "free store" (Giveaway Gallery) to make the selection even more fun. The shark's teeth are local finds. I have a fossil hunting site within walking distance of home.
I would like to enter for the 1895 Barber Quarter please. Just my sort of coin, well used as intended, but nice clear details and a pleasing appearance. Thanks LM for the opportunity as always.
There are a lot of nice coins in your giveaway gallery, but I'm going to try for the Venezuela 5 Bolivares again. A large silver coin with a slight CircCam look. Like I've said, I really like the design and I've been thinking about getting one for awhile. Thanks for the opportunity!
Here's an extra entry post to increase your odds on that one, since it was at your suggestion that I originally bought it, if memory serves.
I was so involved in posting the drawing for the CTF2 giveaway last night that I forgot to do the drawing for this one. I’ll do it in a little while, in the early AM hours of Monday. In the meantime, any last-minute entries posted here will be valid.
Still want to be a Cowboy with a Silver Dollar in my pocket so hoping for the Morgan and Peace dollar set. Yesterday I found a 1937 Wheatie in the CoinStar and got a 1953 Wheatie in change from the same Stop and Shop..
It is now time for the drawing! Our lucky number was... 40! And Post #40 was by... @The Half Dime! Coingratulations, @The Half Dime! That Morgan dollar is yours, if you want it. But since I made several additions to the Giveaway Gallery throughout February, you might want to check one last time to make sure that's your final selection. You're welcome to pick whatever you like. I shall message you shortly to get your address. Please remember to post here in the public contest thread (not in the private message) when you receive your prize, so we can all see that you got your item. Numismatic regards, ~Robertson ("Rob") Shinnick ("LordM")
That is REALLY cool! I will definitely take the Morgan dollar. I will PM you with my shipping address.
I wonder if this is the first time someone has won a giveaway on their birthday. Pretty darn cool, if you ask me. Congrats, and Happy Birthday!
I myself am unsure, but now that you mentioned that, I can't help but think that I actually have some birthday luck. LOL, maybe the Morgan dollar gods were looking out for me? If only I had enough luck not to get sick on my birthday every year!
That used to happen to me for some reason, from age 10 onwards into adulthood. Thankfully I broke the jinx, eventually.
The jinx continues beyond birthdays for me. Around coin shows, and coin club meetings, I will sometimes start to come down with something, usually the drainage. That's when I take Bromfed, something that I can gag myself on the taste of on command, but something I also know helps me a lot.
