Hello everyone, Yesterday was a beautiful day for Metal Detecting! I did a 5-hour dirt fishing hunt at Brooklyn's Fort Greene Park. The temperature rose up to 60 degrees. Then there was a windstorm in the evening and it chilled things down a bit After a few outings from the start of 2025, I wasn't able to find any Silver Coins. I was finally blessed to find 3 Indian Head Cent - No Date Later determined to be 1898 20 Wheat Cents Jamaica - 1 Cent - 1972 Commemorative Issue Miscellaneous Metals - Dog Tag, Metal Buttons, Jewelry Frame Silver Ring #2 for 2025 Everything The order of my silver coin finds My heart pounds every time I see that beautiful shine of silver!
Nice hunt. I used to enjoy finding old dog tags. I'll bet you have a nice collection of them by now. Not as cool as silver but still fun.
Those pictures show you had a great day metal detecting! 3 nice silver dimes and a lot of other good items. Glad you got out and enjoyed that nice weather. How’s your mother doing?
Most are in surprisingly in good condition too. One of my favorite dreams at night, is when I'm finding coins all over the place. Problem is, I wake before I get to go through all of them and see what I have.
Some of those are amazing considering how environmental damage can ruin them. Nice haul. That's got to be a fun hobby.
