It's strike doubling. Look up a "coining press" on Youtube. These machines strike up several hundreds of coins a minute and most of them come out looking just like the one you got.
Well, its not ddo-001. That leaves dd0-002, your cent is also a zinc. Remember that these were transitional, some copper and some Zinc, most of what you see is DDD or split plate doubling.
