    I never thought I'd go this far, but with my recent interest in Spanish Empire coins, getting Mexican and South American coins from the colonial period, I decided I wanted a coin of the two monarchs that started it all, Ferdinand II and Isabela I.

    Can't say I care much for the label on the slab, but the coin is lovely.

    That is a lovely example! I collected some Spanish 8 reales, here's my oldest from the same mint, Seville.
