Wondering what happend

Looks more like ink that anything else. Try wiping part of it with acetone on a Q-tip.

 

It’s the Mason-Dixon line

 

Someone very bored and with a lot of time on their hands just marked it up all weird.

Not a mint error of any kind unfortunately.

 

Acetone took most of the color off but I can feel the pattern with my fingernails. The line going thru the nose hole didn’t seem to smash the nose

Looks like something may have gone wrong with the waffling machine. Although I doubt that is what happened.
