So idk if these are error coins are not, I'm no expert but I'm hoping someone here might be. Any information would be great. I also feel like the photos are not doing the 2023 dime justice,it looks like a mirror. Any help would be great. So the other dime is completely copper colored not a speck of. Silver color anywhere. And disregard the one next to it. That was just for reference. Welcome Odin, you have a post mint altered dime, probably a dryer coin.
The last dime is altered surfaces, environmental damage.
How long have you been looking at coins?

For as long as I've been spending money. Lol. But no it's a more recent thing I guess. And really wish I could post a video of that 2023 dime it looks uncirculated. I can't think if anything that would do that to a coin amd it still be smooth and a mirror.

The first dime was abraded, ground down, between two flat surfaces. That could easily spare the reflective fields while grinding away the high points.

The dark one is stained or oxidized.

Both are just damaged, I'm afraid. Not errors.

By all means, keep it up! There is good stuff out there, even if these dimes aren't it...

It's not uncommon to find a stained coin, it may have happened when the coin was mint state, but there is no doubt that it would get a details grade. Put it in a flip and write what you think it is. Look at more coins. I still have many of these coins hanging around in the collection.

Dimes are not 'silver' colored. They are composed of Cupronickel clad. It a mixture of copper and nickel. When the Cupronickel is exposed to a harsh environment it will tone a darker color because of the copper mixed in.

It's not a mint error of any kind unfortunately.

I’m pretty good at checking pockets…I keep the change! ;-)

But, while I do most of the laundry, I don’t do all of it. So I find a few “mint” errors when I move stuff to the dryer. I occasionally find change in the lint catch, but it’s there in the dryer that the noise alerts me that defects are in the making!!

PS - the washer by far creates most of the “mint” errors. 95% are made there.
