Cannot remember the details. But on the $1 star notes, is there something with the serial numbers that will bring some value to them?

    Thanks.

Star notes are a waste of time. Spend them and let someone else waste their time.

Only if they make it as a fancy serial number like all of the other notes without the star.

It depends on how fancy, or low, the serial number is. Regular $1 star notes can sell for a small premium, increasing to a bigger premium online, but some serial numbers that are part of a series with a low run size, preferably 640,000 and under, can bring more money. Some even have run sizes of 16,000, those being among the rarest.

Other anomalies like being a binary note, a radar, a ladder, or any additional collectible features can increase the value. The best types of these are ones with multiple of the features, like being a binary radar star note.

Star notes are a lot of work, and often not much return, but from time to time you can run across some notes that make it well worth your while.

I've got a few star note silver certificates, but they are pretty beat up. Sadly I don't think they make mine worth a bunch. I wish my dad had turned them in for silver when there still was an opportunity to do so. Then again, not sure when he collected them.

Just remember paper quality. Condition is the key to value.

just because you have a star note doesn't mean you hit the lottery...LOL
the serial number needs to be special in some other way as well such as a ladder or binary combination.
