At my LCS they had all these half dollar tubes full of uncirculated Mexican coins of the type I like. I said I'd buy them all at the right price, so he asked what price I was thinking. I said 25 cents each and he said sounds good to me. So I am the proud owner of about 300 uncirculated mostly 20 centavos, with some 1, 5, 20 and 50 pesos thrown in. The 20 centavos is one of my favorite coins and one of the first things I focused on when I started collecting foreign. I couldn't pass this up. Here's a photo of all the different ones in the collection. There are a few duplicate tubes.
Hello group, In my wild and wooly flea market days I purchased an uncirculated roll of Mexican centavos KM#426. Unfortunately they were dated 1956 & not 1955! Guess I shouldn't be greedy after paying only $2 for the roll and ending up reselling it for $20! Hiddendragon, you did really good!..congrats! J.T.
Love those 20c pieces in Red BU. Looks like you need to start an album collection of those, if you haven't already! I think any Whitman/Dansco ones are likely out of print and hard to find. I did see this on the Mexican Amazon site. Before you freak out over that "$219.60" price, I'm sure that's in Mexican pesos (which use the same "$" symbol, as you know). So about $10.75 USD.
