1984 nickel error?

    Those ridges are nothing like the typical reeding on any US coin. You need to learn more about our coinage before you jump the gun. Like @paddyman98 said, it's PMD.

    If these letters are raised it might you have nice error here. Looks like a nickel struck on quarter planchet. I may wrong tho.

    As I stated in post #15 of this thread
    No.. can't happen. A Blank Quarter Planchet will not fit into the chamber that holds the Nickel blank to be struck. It could only happen the other way around. A blank Nickel Planchet could fit into a Quarter chamber because it is smaller.
    It's not and Error Coin of any kind. It's just PMD - Post Mint Damage
