@Randy Abercrombie . Just be glad you don't live here. The Great Marriage Act of 1982 requires the person who was wrong to say out loud; "You were right. I was wrong. I am sorry."
Something I have already had to do 3 times this morning and it isn't even noon yet. James

The 19th century's worst presidents. Both of them made moves that moved along the start of the Civil War.

    Franklin Pierce, 1853 to 1857

The "General" part was a joke. One newspaper editor put it this way:

Pierce tumbled from his horse just as he was getting ready for one fight … fainted and fell in the opening of the second … got sick and had to go to bed on the eve of the third, and came pretty near to getting into a fourth, missing it only by an hour.”

In his defense, Piece had a bad case of Montezuma’s revenge. Not in his defense was that fact that he drank too much. One editor wrote, "The general who never lost a bottle."

If you find one of these tokens, you've found something worthwhile. It's very scarce to rare.

The worst president on most all historian's scorecards is James Buchanan. Buchanan thought that the Supreme Court's Dred Scott decision would settle the slavery issue. It only made it worse. The jist of the court's ruling was that African Americans were not citizens and had not right bring a suit before the court system.

Buchanan had one of the best resumes that any president has had. He had been a member of the House of Representatives, a Senator, Ambassador to England and Russia and Secretary of State. This medalet advised voters that "The crisis demands his election."
