1689. Only a few medals were issued during the papacy of Alessandro VIII, who served as head of the Catholic Church for less than 16 months.

    Some more for 1689.
GB Half Crown, William and Mary. There are a lot of varieties for this date - this is the first shield reverse.
Then two more Gun Money shillings. The "r 10" is for December 1689, and the "Jan" although dated 1689 would actually have been issued in 1690 by modern reckoning. At that time, the dates were a bit confusing as the change over was actually 1st March. Jan and Feb 1689 we would now think of as 1690. In the same way the "r 10" is for December as the 10th month of 1689!

Good point @panzerman and the foundations of the house of Hanover. We were never too fussed about the origins of our monarchs as long as they had blue blood!
Of course James fleeing was considered abdication opening the forum for William who stood his ground. ( Until he fell off his horse!)

Yes/ King Charles III is actually by blood "Saxe-Coburg-Gotha" George V changed it to Windsor/ but the German/ British Royalty were linked thru Queen Victoria & Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.:) You can change the name but not the Royal Lineage.

I have a couple of GB to offer:
    James II Crown 1688
James II Shilling 1688 over 7.
Third coin is Portugal 3 Vintens, technically ND but issue 1688 to 1706, so hopefully of some interest.
