Managed to back into a great deal on an interesting book. Many of us pick up new reference books that others don't know about so show us your latest.
MY newest Numismatic Book? I haven't written it yet and probably never will. I think that last one I bought was the RedBook.
This one is a very good reference. I've been through it for my Fugio guide, believe it or not. It has a great section on Peter Rosa and the Becker replicas.
I recently picked up a lot of several books on Roman history that included one specifically about coins: "Historical References to Coins of the Roman Empire" by E. A. Sydenham. Though it's not an attribution guide, I look forward to reading it, as my main interest in coins is through their connection to history.
I got Steve Tompkins' Early United States Quarters as a Christmas present, and I have to say it is quite the book. It is very informative and detailed (heck, it even has a list of when yellow fever was going around in Philadelphia, forcing the mint to close!). I would definitely recommend it.
I probably shouldn't have said reference book. Really any book to expand your collecting knowledge. Could just be a history book. I just didn't want to see the latest Jack Reacher book you picked up
Ha, I just finished reading that this morning. Really interesting stuff! I started a thread in the ancients forum about it.
