    Can't say it's legit or not, it doesn't match any known fakes, even though the obverse details are weak.

    If it is real, it's a major steal price wise.

    Quite a deal on that scarce coin. They are quite pricey in VF or better condition. I have only this very corroded example.

    She is actually not known from any ancient author, and is known only from her coinage and a few inscriptions.

    Based upon this data, historians have determined that she married Carinus in mid 283, upon which she was hailed Augusta. At least one historian suggests she died in 285, when her husband was defeated.

    Alegandron I think yours is a VENUS VICTRIX too, same as the one from Roman Collector.
    Mine is a VENUS CELEST , only found 2 on the net for moon money.
    My question about Carus/Carinus has to do with this Wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnia_Urbica

    Terrific find!! @Andres2

    Brian's example is one of the nicest I've seen.

    Here's mine (Juno Regina)---- rough and worn and considerably more than what you paid but I can't recall precisely how much more.

    => I'd rather have 40 of your OP-coin!!

    :rolleyes:

    Congrats on adding that cool OP-purchase (very cool/rare chick-coin addition)

    Andres2 Wikipedia information is not correct, Numerian died in 284ad, Carinus in 285ad. Magnia was wife of Carinus, their only known child was Nigrinian.
    There is a quinaris with Carinus on the obverse an Magnia on the reverse.
