What Kind Of Coins/Coin/Paper Money Did You Get For This Year's Christmas? It can be any kind of coin or piece of cash. I got a 1864 2 cent piece and a 1868 3 cent piece (Need some help on the 3 cent piece to see if it is a rotated rev) Here are the pictures of what I got. 2 cent piece was hard to get pics of because it is very worn.
I didn't get anything for Christmas, but I like the bold Roman numerals. Were people actually using 3 cents pieces?
I've gotten a bunch of low value coins for two of my casual sets. -- A world wide date set for my birthyear. -- Japanese occupation of China (1933-1945). Not surprisingly I gave them to myself.
I gave myself one of those gold Walking Liberty halves, to go with the dime and quarter I had already puchased this year. They cost a bit, but I have always admired the last artistic American coin series..... One advantage to buying your own presents, you always like what you get!
I got a couple of nice 55S wheats, one for the type set and the other went in the cents folder, from a fellow CT member! I didn't play secret Santa, but I still received gifts! Gotta love this forum
